Been away from theese boards for a while now, and im gonna give a bit of a update with gear.

Firstly, i did put a deposit down on a Charvel SoCal, but after playing my GAS for about a year or three a Gibson Les Paul Standard Faded and clicking, it had to be it i had. So i got it, and on the same day a couple of weeks ago, traded in my Schecter Jerry Horton Tempest in for a Fulltone OCD, whitch is a great OD/Dist box, annoying as hell to get a awsome sound out of my amp, with a 5153 halfstack, no problem. And today, i got the pickups im putting in my Les Paul, a Di Marzio DP193 Air Norton for the Bridge and a DP233 36th Anniversary bridge for the neck to do a Gibson Burstbucker Type 2 thing in the neck.

Also changes a good bit musically, more into Rock n' Roll Springsteen style and Bonamassa blues as well as gettin into a little Priest.

Anyways, heres some pics of the Lester Polfus and other gear:

I'm not a Gibson fan but thats a keeper! You can't go wrong with DiMarzio's either! Congrats man!

P.S. why did you buy an F spaced pickup for a Gibson guitar?

The F Spacing is because modren Gibsons and SC style axes use 50mm spacing at the bridge. Air Norton is for the bridge, and the 36th for the neck.

Ah, I didn't know about the change to 50mm string spacing at the bridge. now i know

25.5 inch scale and F spacing are essential for me. I guess Gibson haven't adopted a 25.5 inch scale have they?

Nope, they havnt, whitch is great for me as i like the 24.75 inch scale more, but i like the 25.5 scale for Strats and Superstrats more.

Horses for courses i guess!!!

Actually Gibson L-5s and Super 400s have the 25 1/2" scale length...but who can afford one of those?

I can't get enough of Les Paul's and that is an exceptionally attractive example there ESPImperium - congrats on capturing that one for our drooling pleasure

BTW - is the dumbell in the back of the photo to help prepare your shoulders for gigging and slinging it around your neck for a few hours - take it from me - they hurt!!!

Yes, i use the dumbell occasionally. But just to tone my arms when i just need the little extra from them when i cant get swimming.

But the Les Paul isnt that heavy as its chambered, and when strummed without amplification sounds like an palm muted accoustic.

Have got a set of theese to put in it:

Gonna get a TonePros bridge System for it as im eventually take it as close to 08 standard spec/look as i can, with the tone i want in the pickups.
