I've tried a strat with a similar addition but I'm not sure if it's exactly the same one. Speaking of neat additions to expand the tone of a strat,

the hot little knob is fantastic. so is the neck adder.

I've tried a no-name strat that someone had installed the hot little knob in and it sounded like the pickups had been replaced with far more expensive p'ups, better tone etc. If you plan to upgrade a squier strat it's worth buying as a simple alternative to better tone controls, worth every penny. I plan to add one to my squier strat, that's for sure! one of many projects.

the new jack systems seems like a waste to much money. nothing a cheap pedal couldn't do. for half the price. the jack i did something like that years ago with humbuckers and splitting coils.

It does seem pricey to me. With shipping it would be around $150 CDN. It's a easily reversible mod, so if you didn't like it someone would buy it. I would like to know how it works. I understand how the switch works, by adding a pickup wiring circuit and an RC circuit of some kind, but the passive booster I don't get the theory of it.

I like the idea of it but you need a new pot and need to install a battery
