So the low impendance pedals go after the effects and the high impendance go before the effects. I find that when i turn down the volume on my guitar the effects become weaker. i prefer having my guitar fully open. So if i were to use a high impendance and put it infront of the effects it would have the same effect as the volume pot correct? So then if i use the low impendance after the effects it not be like the guitar volume pot but like the amp volume. Is this correct or is it alwayz like the volume control on the guitar?

You are right in saying the effects become weaker just because you turn down the guitar's volume (which is off course the amount of signal coming from the guitar).
So using a volume pedal last in chain would work best for that application.
Unless, you like to use volume swells with an echo from a delay.
In that case, the volume pedal should be before the delay so you don't cut off the echo.

Just experiment with it, you'll figure it out.
Just do what works best for YOU.
