i've done about a dozen of them.

i can say that the op amp matters a bit as each will have its own unique flavor.

as a whole, op amp versions 2-4 basically yield van halen II in pedal format. i find the ultra mod to be too bright/abrasive but it will definitely cut.

the only downside of the pedal after the mod is that it's so quiet when it's on you'll hear electrons popping sometimes when caps discharge hehe.

hello guys,

is it possible here to do a swtich-in for the seeing eye mod?
i'd like to have the stock sound plus the capability of switching in the LED when needed. will it be something like the switch used for the Keeley ultra?

Nope. Too complex to switch. I solved that by buying a cheap used DS-1 for the mod and using my good one for the pure DS-1 sound.
