Oh, it's got a battery in it. Never mind then. It's a good deal at that price.

It's not even mint condition! |

BIN only? $620.00??

Of course, a collector who only needs that one to complete that first production run will probably grab it...
(edit: and then you'd have to think that, seeing them selling for four hundred and change consistently, someone would probably try to push for more -- but the guy who's going to do that successfully better have one in mint or near-mint condition, and the original box for it)

You know, looking at that auction -- all that guy needs to do is take one more photo of the board flipped over to the top side, and then we could reverse-engineer an SP-1. I'm not sure why we'd even want to do that, but we could...
God help us if a Guitar Center ever gets ahold of one of these and tries to auction it, what the price would be.

The worst thing is if someone actually buys it. Don't see it happening though. |

| I don't feel so bad now about paying $450 for one. Mine is in better condition and is a silver screw with clear switch and lower S/N too. |

What is the serial number of yuor SP-1, Big Boss Man? I haven't seen any numbers lower than this 6900 pedal. Production probably started at 6400 but that's not confirmed.

No, Guitar Center would be charging in the THOUSANDS as in "BOSS SP-1 BUY IT NOW ONLY $15,000.(shipping not included)" Right now (and for the last SIX MONTHS)they have been trying to sell the guitar I just bought for fifteen hundred dollars for wait....wait for it...wait....FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS! But see the sham for your selves. Where do they get ther pirce guides the year 2095? http://cgi.ebay.com/VINTAGE-1974-FENDER-TELECASTER-DELUXE-TELE-GUITAR-W-OHC_W0QQitemZ7398804375QQcategoryZ38082QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem |

Wow. First month of production. You got a good one - at least from a collector's view.
Do you mind opening it up to give us the date code on the transistors, pots, & chips?
Grace and peace,
Steve

I tried taking off the screws on the back plate. It didn't want to come off though. I didn't want to force it or pry it off. I will put up some pics of the outside on the picture gallery thread though. |
