There was some past discussions about 'restoring' pedals ... i'd say that this the kind of mess you end up with if you DON'T do a restore job.

If you are set up to do it, maybe only a couple of hours work. Getting the right base plate might be a bit challenging though....

Oh well...apparently the owner pulled the auction for whatever reason...

I didn't like the MIT plate either, but as long as it worked I'd use it, not worrying about the condition.

I already have four DM-2s anyway...maybe this was a "divine intervention" helping me to hold on to my money...
