My RPQ-10 (Boss ParamEQ) has given up its spirit, because +12V have been accidentally plugged in.
I have got a bit of electronics knowledge, but no circuit schematic.
With the latter I might be able to see what went bust and fix it.
Thx for the help in advance. Young pensioner (67) lost but happy in the Chilean Andes.

Hi jjj

Welcome to the forum from Sunny Australia.

I'm not sure the guys here have a schematic for any/many of the micro racks.
I guess we will find out, when some of the other guys start reading this post.
---

Did you accidentally apply over-volts or reverse, & over-volts?

In any case follow the DC-in socket to the protection diode, in most, but not all cases, it's an 11V 1 Watt zener.
Sometimes it's a 1N400x series (1N4004, 1 amp rectifier diode.
You may find that it has gone short circuit, or blown open circuit.
Look for burned out tracks if it was reverse volts.

You might want to send us some pictures.
And seeing you are in the Chilean Andes, take the pics outside, so we can see some spectacular backgrounds...
Sounds like a nice place.

And it would help to know as much about the situation as you can recall.

Regards Dr. Bob

edited-added.
On some of the Microrack series, the DC-in,
also goes to a 78L05 positive 5V regulator, and a 79L05 negative 5V regulator.
As well as an assortment of filter & bypass caps.

I've recently found contacting Roland's service department to be the best way of obtaining service notes for obsolete devices. Saves a lot of searching on the web, and they're very quick and helpful.
