Evening ladies,
My brother borrowed me a Jimmy Carr DVD today and said I had to watch it from beginning to end. Possibly the worst crap I've ever seen as far as stand-ups go Seriously wouldnt recommend any of his DVDs... I have a pretty broad appreciation of comedy... South Park fan for 12 years, Fan of many stand ups from Eddie Murphy to the legendary Billy Connoly. Pretty big fan of Quizcoms! Idk what they're like in other countries but shows like Never Mind the Buzzcocks and Mock the Week are some of the only "must not miss" shows on TV.
So which comedians/programmes do you like? Post some YT vids and share some your favourates! But keep it (semi ) clean |

Yeah, Jimmy Carr is one of those guys who can be funny while hosting a game show or something but just isn't that funny doing stand up comedy...
I like Eddie Izzard, one of his better shows would be "Dress to Kill". Demitri Martin is pretty funny too, he mixes it up with some songs thrown in... but my favourite comedian at the moment would have to be Tim Minchin. He is hilarious and clever and he is an awesome pianist to boot... Check out "Inflatable You". |

| I quite like Jimmy Carr though he seems like telling a lot of small jokes without glueing it all together.... unlike Ricky Gervais who's the master of glue... love his act and it feels so... well not acted.... Alan Davies is funny, most of the QI guys are. |

| i agree on billy connoly and eddie izzard. got to see eddie live in 2004. i'm going to see jim gaffigan in two weeks, he's probably my favorite as of late. i can't stand the whole blue collar comedy thing, but ron white kills me. |

| Dylan Moran. Even funnier on stand-up than in Black Books, etc. |

Definitely!
Tim Minchin, Dylan Moran
I haven't seen any new stuff from Eddie Izzard lately he seems to be doing more acting than comedy now. But the old stuff is still good.
Old Bill Cosby is still pretty good as well. |
