The pedal that i have here was a b-day gift to me.
Those are:
MT-2 (Metal Zone), GE-7 (Equalizer), CS-3 (Sustainer), PH-3 (Phase Shifter), Ibanez Demon Wah and a Zoom 505 (im gonna use it as a tuner)
Please help me how to set them up in a board. Which of them would go first..

CS-3 >>> MT-2 >>> GE-7 >>> PH-3 >>> Wah
Your zoom can go as the first or last in the chain

Hello,
There is no good or bad set up. It just has to sound good to your ears. But just a few general hints.
1) Normally, compression (CS-3) comes at the beginning of the chain.
2) You can use the GE-7 to accentuate some frequenties and then put them through the MT-2 or you can firts get some distortion from the MT-2 and then accentuate some frequenties (both options sound completely different, even with the same settings!)
I have no experience or thoughts about the PH-3 and the Wah, although, like GOB suggested, Wah normally comes at the end of your chain.
Like Boss states in their effectbook: "an unusual pedal-chain can give you your signature sound".
Conclusion: Experiment and experiment a lot, it's big fun.
A last hint, don't try to build up a complete chain directely. Get to know your effects, one at the time. I own at the moment about 10 pedals and (almost) every night, I try out different combinations and different settings. I still do not have a fixed set up.

I always like to put the Wah at the beginning of the chain 
For some reason I feel like I get a sound where I have more control of the Wah that way. |

Well, if you order the Boss pedals according to type, you will notice that you already have compression/distortion/pitch shifting. So, if you use the MT-2 for the more heavy songs, you might consider some chorus/flanger-pedal for the more soft/poppy songs. Or some delay/reverb-pedal to get some spacious-effects in your songs. It all depends on a. what you like and b. what you want to play.
But you have a Zoom 505, so you can play around with the different types of effects in there (one at the time ) and if you find something you like, you might consider to buy it in a pedal. (IMO multi-effect are to damn difficult to program and they don't sound as good as pedals)
Anyway, have fun and listen to what YOU like. |

It also serves as a power distributor for your boss pedals.

hi.
your wah should be placed before any distortions/od's, or you just get a quacky sound instead of wah, (dunno bout the demon, but probably)
and if you play lead in a band and want to boost up your solos so you can be heard, use the ge-7 last in the chain..
tuner and cs-3 would work quite good before the wahwah..
ex: guitar >tuner>cs-3>wah>mt-2>pitch shifter*>ge-7**>amp.
* = dunno if this pedal works anygood here, but try some other places if it doesnt work any good.
** if you want it as a boost.
i hope it makes any sence, cause i just forgot what i wrote lol :P |
