OD1: Marshall JMP

SD1: Marshall 800JMC

OD3: Marshall 900JMC

BD2: The sound of fenderdistortion when not pushed too hard, in clean settings it also sounds "Fender-Type" Read NO midrangeboost!! just clean or teble boost.

OS2: can mimick TS9, 808, and other bosspedals such as OD1 and DS1

GE6: similar as MXR EQ

I will just stick to dirtboxes for now as some of you will go into chorus and other modulationpedals.

The fact that OS2 can get so many different flavours is a true gift from a player point of view!!

I haven't tried an OS-2 but your post and another one recently mentioning Joe Walsh makes me think that I should do. It sounds like a clever beasty as most of the others just do one thing well.

(and having looked at a schematic it does look very much like an SD-1 and a DS-1 in one unit which is handy as both are nice straightforward circuits and good for tuning up to one's personal taste whereas the OD-3 has far too much going on in there - will be looking for a cheap one)

Oh and I definitely agree that the BD-2 has a Fendery flavour

David

I had an OS2 for a good many years.
It is indeed a very versatile pedal.

I now prefer using my old Tech21 Double Drive instead though.

What would you say the DS-1 is mimicking? Here were are in 2009 and my MIJ made in 5/80 DS-1 is still my distortion of choice.

CS-2 sounds like an MXR DynaComp
MT-2 sounds like some Boogie
SD-2 at crunch mode like a sweet blackface Fender
