I'm selling a Peavey Bandit from the 1980s, and before I post it on gumtree I thought I'd ask the opinion of BossArea members. I posted it on UltimateGuitar yesterday so instead of retyping everything I'll just copy and paste I'm just looking to sell it to buy something I'd actually use...

Hey guys. I'm looking to sell or trade this amp:

http://i781.photobucket.com/albums/...aphia/Front.jpg
http://i781.photobucket.com/albums/...maphia/Back.jpg

It was bought second hand from a work-friend of my fathers back in 2004 for around 100 after he developed arthritus. I bought it as a replacement for a fender frontman 15R or something that came with a squire package I bought, but after 6 months I didnt really use it much. Its a great sounding amp dont get me wrong but it doesnt suit my type of music. I think this thing is aimed more at heavy rock/metal than it is my alternative and bluesy/trip hop kinda thing. Its pretty much lived in the back room for the last few years till I dug it out last week. I like it but its not for me

As far as I know, its all original. Nothings been changed. It still has the original "Handmade in the USA" tag on it that you can see around the volume knob. I'm not 100% sure but if you've ever seen Jason Beckers cover of Yngwies Black Star in the school I think this is the amp he uses...

The Reverb on it is seriously gorgeous though, Better than any effect based ones I currently own. The clean channel is pretty fat, even with my Telecaster. I can take more pics if you specify what you want them of. Or if you have more information on the amp that I havent posted (Through not knowing much about it other than what I can see) please let me know.

You could come over and try-before-you-buy if you want, as the only way I'd sell this would be if you came to me. This thing ways half a tonne and god knows how much it'd cost to post lol.

You may have noticed that I'm also selling a BossGT-8. If you were interested in buying both I'd ofcourse offer a discount.

Thanks again for reading, keep rockin!

/Thom

Found some more info from Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peavey_Electronics#Bandit_series_guitar_amplifiers

# Solo Series Bandit 75 (1987-1988)

So its 22-23 years old... Borderlining on Vintage?

"The Peavey Bandit is relatively powerful for its price, and has become quite popular among guitar players. In the United Kingdom, it was voted the number one amp in 1988, according to Music Trades.[2]"

Now that cant be bad for tryna sell something Lol
