I have updated a lot of pages today. Some changes are obvious while some are completely invisible.
New light yellow colour scheme Replaced DTD schema with XSD (doesn't make a change but it took me a week so had to mention it ). Added style sheet to "other" products. Added 1987 catalogue Added Guitar Effects Guide Book Vol 20. All compact pedal descriptions are now original text (no more pocket dictionary quotes). I think the label information for each pedal is correct now. Several new pictures and descriptions in the other products section.
I still got 12 pages with suggestions, error reports and wanted features so there's more to come. I got 10 more catalogues to scan and 10 more Pocket Dictionaries too so I won't be running out of work any time soon. |

Cool!
Is the compact pedal Photo Gallery, Sounds, funny joystick thing, & links like someday or too ambitious? |

The plan is to use coloured icons when there's something there like a photo gallery and gray dimmed pictures when there's nothing. Right now there's about 10 photo galleries so more is needed.
The funny joystick or LedZep Presence thingy will be replaced with a magazine or book icon indicating that there are magazine reviews of the chosen pedal.
I haven't completely figured out how to implement the sound samples page yet but it's very much in the current plans.

I rather like the presence icon. It adds a touch of mystique.
More importantly awesome to see more catalogs and dictionary updates. Keep the goodness coming. |

Hi Bossarea
I know your "site upgrade plans" are many, & an Admin never sleeps.
I have been thinking, that it might be useful to have a hot-link to the "Serial Number Decoder", in the list at the top right of these forum pages.
I know, I go there many times, & reference the link a lot in the threads. I believe it would please a lot of members, & especially new/er members, if it was much easier to locate.
Many new/er members don't even know the other non-forum section of the Bossarea site exists.
I have been thinking about this as a mod for a long time, for what it's worth.
It would be interesting to know what other members think of this idea as well.
Regards Dr. Bob |

I think that's a good idea. Maybe it should be in form of a drop down combo box with links such as serial number decoder, label gallery, home page, catalogues etc.
I'll add it to the never ending list |

Will the galleries be a self-upload thing? Such as.. I hit OD-1 and get to see hundreds of OD-1s uploaded by members? Or a catalogue of the variances within a certain model (ie: pics of chips and circuits as they change, long/short dash)?
time for Jon Stewart. |

Maybe some time into the future but not at the moment. The current gallery application assumes that the pictures are resized and placed in a specific folder structure. The galleries are arranged in sets consisting of max 6 pictures and a text file with information. The application still need some layout work so file upload will have to wait. |
