I need to buy some mounting screws for the bottom plates. Anyone know where to get them in Australia? Or could get them for me and post them to me? |

Hi neonuke
I suggest you take a sample screw down to your local Bolt Bar - The Bolt Bloke, or whatever similar nuts & bolts place is near to your home. Don't go to Bunnings or such mas retail hardware stores.
The guys in these stores are extremely helpful, (unless they have 20-30 people waiting). They will be able to supply you with a similar screw, you might have to get bright steel/chrome as they don't always get or source black metal.
BTW: Goran or someone posted the technical specifications for the Boss bottom plate screws, about a year Nearly 3 Years ago. Maybe if they read this they will chime in & re-post the details.
Ok After about an 30mins of searching. (No Flack from you DeFrag, for poorly filed info )
I have found the clipping I made of Goran's post, in all its glory:

As all of us know sometimes there are screws for the bottom plates missing when we buy old Boss pedals, and we sure donīt like it! I have asked Roland Scandinavia for extras, but they donīt have them. Otherwise Roland is very, very helpful. The reason for this is that the screws donīt have any order-number so Roland canīt order them from Boss..... I suppose this is valid for all other countries...
But Roland told me what kind of screws it is: 3 x 6 B1 FeBC
This is a standard screw but very hard to find, in my experience.

I bought some direct from Roland here in Canada. Expensive... (about $1 each) but guaranteed to be the "correct" ones.
Maybe Roland Australia can do the same? |

| You might find these screws on other equipment. I got an old broken VCR in my shed that I know have a few that looks very similar. I haven't picked it apart yet so I'm not sure if the dimensions are exactly the same but if you have some old junk electronics somewhere it's worth checking out. |
