Well i was browsing through one of my Boss pocket books (6 or 7, can't remember now) and saw the GL-100. i'd never even heard of it. Looks interesting - i like rack equipment. i assume the amp/cab modelling they used wasn't all that good, but is this an analogue unit? What's it sound like? Would it be better used in front of a real amp?
They don't appear on eBay much but is it worth having and at what sort of price?
I used one of these many years ago.. as far as I remember the sound was dull and lifeless.. I didn't like it at all - its actually one of the BOSS items I dont want in my collection
And they do show up very cheap from time to time.. 60-100$ - so give it a try and judge yourself..
I'm not quite sure whether it was analog or digital...
I've got one of these. I already had a DE-200 and CE-300 so thought I'd hunt one down as I love the other two! Its not bad but its not that great either. There are some nice sounds in it but theres lots of not so nice ones so it involves quite a bit of tweaking. I hardly use it now - I have 2 ROD-10s in my rack instead - so if anyone wants to buy one .....
Boss GL-100 anyone?
