Hi!

Just got an SG-1, and to be quite honest, I would have thought the effect to be a lot better, with all the hype around it...

Can you guys help me out? Maybe I am not using the right settings, maybe I am doing something wrong...

try placing the pedal last in your board to ensure optimal performance.

The SG-1 isn't waht you expect... the hype is because of the rarity, not the usefulness.

That being said, it does work to give you a "violin" rise to the sound. Pick single clear notes for best effect.

That´s true, SG-1 is only worth all the money for a collector.
But it can be used with great results if one learns to “tame” it.

+1!

Same thing with the SP-1. Also not usefulnes.
Its nice to have a SG-1 in my collection but i don't use it a lot. Only sometimes when i'm looking for some new sounds etc.

Try the SG1 just before the delay, and get some nice volume swells.

At a push you might be able to do EVH's Cathedral.

Thanks for the advices! I had put the SG-1 as the first effect of the bunch, and quite honestly, felt that the effect on the sound was rather limited... I gues I have a lot of playing around to do...
