| I recently purchased a DC-3 and so far have found it to sound quite similar to the CH-1. I have only use either in mono. For those who own both, is it just me, or are these two similar? |

It's the stereo that does it for the DC-3. CH-1 is good, but the DC-3 is made for stereo.
Basically, in the CH-1 the stereo split is effected/dry. In the DC-3 it is effected/effected... giving the "dimension". |

| Good. I was hoping that was part of the difference. I ordered my second amp just yesterday so I can do 'true stereo.' |

I agree with Laurie. The DC-3 sounds awesome in stereo. It's less a chorus and more a spatial 3d generator.
My guitarist uses the CH-1 and DC-3 together. It sounds really nice, plus you can get some cool effects by slightly varying the speed between the two...

| +1 The DC pedals are really meant to be run in stereo. The DC-3 has some very chorus-like qualities, but not a lot of the "Detune" characteristic of some/many choruses. |

| I've found the DC to be pretty spectacular in mono on certain settings, and is far superior to the CH-1, airy, lush and pro sounding that indeed sometimes I cant believe its from a pedal and not some high-end rack gear. |

I thought the CH-1 was effected/effected as well...? i remember running a lead out of the B output on mine by mistake once and i got a strange 'warble' type sound as if half chorus, half dry....i never liked mine in mono,it's only when i used it in stereo is that i started using it more often... now it's superseeded by my CE-2.... ..... |
