http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=020&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=300054850057&rd=1&rd=1
the auction was rather confusing as it showed a HM-2 AND a DS-1 even though it has a short apparantly.(with D under "T") but it said nothing about the DS-1. so i figured it was for the HM-2 alone, but i messaged the guy anyway just to see, and he replied saying "no its for both pedals. exiting "My Messages" and clicking "buy it now" was the longest 8 seconds of my life.
edit: whoops. it was supposed to go in Ebay discussions |

well it turns out that the DS-1 works perfect. the seller must not have been familiar with momentary LED.
Bossarea, i dont see how i can change it when i went to edit.

Doh, my mistake. I thought the option was available for thread owner and admins, but it turned out to be for admins only. |

absolutely fabulous deal. even in Canada. be ever thankful that the odd eBay seller has no idea how to check "completed items" searches.
This will go down as one of the best eBay finds I've seen anyone post on bossarea.com! |

i wanna know how deep the swimming pool of urine surrounding you was once you clicked that button
USA seem to get more better deals from what i've seen
speaking of which, i've seen THREE PS-2s on ebay.co.uk |

ya starr, and it said that the DS-1 was broken, but im thinking the seller just thought it was due to momentary LED! |

Heh Stat enjoy your DS-1 man!! Have you done any A/B tests yet with your other DS-1's, think the first issue sounds just a tad browner Nice pedal to play through. |

| visserman, i have various DS-1s and have tested them all. they all sounded a little different from each other, but its not like one was any better. the difference was very minimal and i wouldnt be surprised if its just because every unit, regardless of what chip it has, differs slightly in sound. |

Hi StratoSphere It seems that the findings that you & BossArea made, regarding the minor differences in sound, of vintage & modern MIJ & MIT DS-1's, can now, be referenced back to the: Comparison Table that I just did for the various chips used in the DS-1's Have you taken a look at it yet. Bossarea just uploaded my table into the: DS1 chip -- thread http://www.bossarea.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=2181&whichpage=2
I will admit, I would like to try out the NJM3404AL, that is offered as an upgrade IC, in new DS-1, unfortunately, I only have a vintage MIJ DS-1 with the 7 pin TA7136P The NJM3404AL has almost twice the slew rate of the other IC's.
Regards Dr. Bob

True, only doing the "older is better" joke, no hang on, that is not really a thing to joke about eh? as it is a damn serious matter [ well it is if you are buying .
No you are right, they all sound different and none of them really sounds any worse than the other.
Many silver scews ones now in your collection? |
