Hellow fellow boss junkies,

I've been visiting the forum for quite a while now and about a week ago decided to join. This is my first post here and hopefully someone can help me here.

I'm having issues with my GT-Pro. I have the thing for four years now and has worked flawlessly until last week. When I turn the thing on, instead of seeing regular boss letters on the screen, they're all blocks (similar to what you see when a ye olde Nintendo will freeze up on ya). And I also get no effect. I at least have to turn on and off the the unit about 20 times for me to get it to work properly. I once saw it say "USB ERROR' on there. and i've never plugged it into a PC. If any of you on the forum has one of these and experience similar issues, any guidance on trying to get this fixed? Thanks

-E

Hi and welcome to the forum.

I have no experience with GT-Pro whatsoever. IF YOU HAVEN'T YET maybe you could give 'reset to factory settings' a try. It is about the only thing how you can revive any digital beast by yourself.

In case you don't know:

1. Turn off the power.

2. While holding down PREAMP/SPEAKER On/Off
button and [TYPE VARIATION], turn on the power.
The Factory Reset range setting screen appears in the
display.
* To cancel Factory Reset, press [EXIT].

3.Press PARAMETER [ ] [ ] to move the cursor,
and rotate the PATCH/VALUE dial to specify the range
of settings you want to restore to factory settings.

4. If you want to proceed with the factory reset, press
[ENTER].
The specified range of data will be returned, and return
to the Play screen.
