I've come to the conclusion that I will be buried with my Boss pedals. OK, I guess I realise I'm obsessed
Seriously - I really can't see myself ever letting a single Boss pedal go (even the weird/battered/poor-sounding ones). I don't know why this should be - the only reason I can think of is that I used to lust after Boss pedals (any Boss pedal) when I was a wee lad, but could never afford one. This is back in the late 70s - if only I'd bought a couple then and still had them!!
Anyway, I'm interested to hear if anyone else feels the same way...?

Absolutely
I got a fairly large book case full of pedals now. I feel a bit bad that I don't have time to play them all enough but I still can't get myself to sell any of them. I sometimes call them "my retirement fund" but I hope that won't be necessary. |

Theres only a few Boss pedals I would keep if it came down to it. I use to joke with my friends I would be buried with my vintage guitar. It would make a funny coffin indeed |

i buy and sell boss pedals all the time :)
i haven't had any of them give me any kind of sentimental value unless i scored em for a bargain.
in the past 2 months i have bought or traded for: 2 MIJ DS-1's, 2 MIT-DS-1's, MIJ DS-2, OD-1, MIJ OD-2, MIJ SD-1, 2 MIT SD-1's, SD-2, MIT CS-3, 2 MIJ CE-2's, TR-2, MIJ BF-2, MIJ HM-2, HM-3, PH-1, PH-1r, MIT PH-2, RV-3, XT-2, PW-2, a BCB-6, and a BCB-60.
in the past 2 months i have sold or traded away: MIJ DS-1, MIT DS-1, MIT SD-1, MIJ CE-2, MIT CE-2, MIT BF-2, MIT DD-3, MIT PH-2, PH-1r, XT-2, PW-2, MIT HM-2, PN-2, MT-2, and i'm trying to sell my CS-3 on craigslist.
i just end up dumping what i don't feel like i'll use more than once a month.
my need to buy stuff is stronger than my need to have stuff. |

Interesting... I'm the opposite, especially if I've had hands-on reparing it. My crappy friggen PW-2 (once I finish the repair when the parts finally turn up) goes with me to my grave |

my musical buying habits are the bulimic.
binge & purge.
i go through phases where i HAVE to have one of everything... then i realize that i don't need one of everything and i just spent my grocery money on guitar crap.
on rare occasion i like things enough to go on ramen & kool aid for a week or two. |

I can't sell either. I once decided to only start collecting boss compact pedals. a year ago I found me a CE-1 for 30 euros (the story is somewhere on the forum) and I can easily make a 200 euro profit on that one and buy me some compacts but I never find me a cheap CE-1 again so......No dilemma here I just can't sell, I can't |

I don't have as many lying around as you guys 'cause i'm not really a collector,i buy them to try them for a while and then if it doesn't stay it goes with the rest of my stuff in the music/spare room....but as for selling ..nah....i think in 20 years or less some of this stuff is gonna become wanted again.....i haven't seen one BF2 for sale secondhand in the local small ad's for a long time now...... |

I was thinking of selling a great part of my collection yesterday, thinking I have too many that I seldom use and I could buy some really nice pedals for the amount of money the Bosses would bring in. But, Ive had a hard time get them all and I dont have the economy to collect vintage Fenders. I sure like collecting, so they will stay. In any case I would keep all the Boss pedals I really like, the delays, the choruses etc
