What I'm in isn't really a band, I mean thats just the easiest way to explain it. A band to me would have a set practice schedule, routine at practice, and perhaps some gigs to prepare for...If I wanted a band, I wouldn't be with these guys, because there are some basic fundamentals of music that they just don't get...

For example, 2 years ago, I just tuned MY guitar with a tuner, then someone was out of tune, it could not be not me since I just unplugged from a tuner, but I was told,"Well I tuned my guitar last week.", when I mentioned that someone was out of tune and I just tuned my guitar to a tuner. We had this back and forth exchange for about 2 minutes about how someone was out of tune, and I knew it wasn't me, but they claimed it wasn't them since they tuned last week...so finally I just said to hell with it, and tuned to his guitar. Then for about the next month or 2, our tuning pretty much changed every week cause I would just tune to whatever key his guitar was in...Supposedly no one could remember the different riffs we would come up with from week to week, but I remembered the riffs fingering exactly, but when your tuning changes from week to week ...now the guy has a guitar with a Floyd Rose, so the tuning is a bit more stable, but I haven't seen this guy plug into a tuner for months and he confesses he doesn't play much now other than when we have "practice", but I can't hear if he's in tune or not cause he keeps his mids at zero, so once the drums and bass, plus my guitar, kick in, he might as well be playing air guitar. Why do I play with these guys then? We have all been friends for years, and we don't get to hang out as much due to them having either a wife and kids or some clingy girlfriend, and my being busy with school work, so this is just their excuse to get out of the house and my excuse to not study
