| The price does seem a little high for a pedal you can buy new for $150 US, but the extra $4900 is from the fact that it features what looks to be a Dimebag Darrell autograph, and thats where the price hike comes from. A bit steep, but Dimebag fans will pay $1500 for a Dimebag siginature guitar that comes with a pic of him, someone will pay for this autographed pedal.... |

| I'd happily pay $5000 for the world to shut the fuck up about Dimebag who wasn't even good when he was alive. |

When I heard the first 2 albums when they first came out I was floored, but I have grown to like more of Phil Anselmo's bands (like Down and Superjoint Ritual) more than I like Pantera. Still though, Pantera are special to me because I lost my virginity after a Pantera concert, but yeah I was more into the band Pantera as a group and not for the guitarist.... |

I agree. I was/am a fan as well, although I believe their last decent effort was Far Beyond Driven. I was fortunate enough to catch them at a smaller venue before they were 'big'(at the great Harpos in Detroit, MI USA for those familiar); great show. I think this was just before or when Vulgar Display of Power came out(floored as well). I saw them a few years later headlining a major tour, but was a bit disappointed with the show.
I'm actually not too familiar with too many of Phil Anselmo's efforts afterwards.
Upon further review, I attended the first show in '91. Vulgar display of power was released in '92. The 'major' show I attended, they played a few songs from their upcoming release(Far Beyond Driven)
I know, useless boring drivel but I'm reminiscing.(also maybe: , , ) |

i agree that dropping $5000 on a Dime wah is ridiculous, but so is that comment you made about Dime. if you dont like his music, thats understandable, but to say he wasnt a good guitarist is going out on a limb. |
