Does anyone know what resitor controls the LED brightness ? when i use a battery its reasonably bright , but when you use a wal wart / adapter is gets crazy bright ....
The wall wart being used on it shows specs. 9v dc 200mA ( no name ) think it maybe a power supply problem , i had changed the LED to a 3 mm super bright blue .
According to the schematic there's a Zenerdiode and a 3k3 resistor in series with the on/off LED, you should track that and replace it with a higher value, something between 4 and 5 kOhms to start with should do the trick. The schematic doesn't say which part number it is, but the other side of the resistor is connected to Q3.
