They have some new effects coming out so I've been running through all their video demos.

They have too many effects nowadays & I think they should combine a few into new products & kill a few off.
Since they probably will never come out with a multi-effects unit (wouldn't that be awesome AND expensive!?),
I'm thinking about picking up a few of their best units.

I'd like to get a PedalTrain & mount the following pedals on it & set it atop an amp for accessibility:

POG2 for sure.. man EHX tracks exceptionally well, even with chords.
HOG w/extra footswitch unit for that B3 sound
Riddle envelope filter.. Frankenstein!
Stereo Clone Theory chorus & vibrato

dunno.. just thinkin'

Hey DeFrag, EHX do make some quality gear, yet it still manages to retain a little bit of an old school feel. Which is cool. I've had a few EHX pedals over the years but my fav is definitely the POG2. It's awesome... you need one! I imagine the HOG would be even more awesome...

The new Memory Toy (not even on their website yet) is pretty incredible for its price.. IMO at least as good as the carbon copy, at half the price, and made in NYC!

The Dunlop/MXR no longer states "Made in USA" which raises suspicions...

EHX has managed to increase their market share with innovative and well-priced products.. I think they're edging out a lot of competition - like much Digitech, and even Boss(especially seeing the Boss prices haven't really come down that far yet - here the DD-3 is still $160). Their more pricey stuff is a little more specific-purpose and won't fit many players' boards, but their versatility and quality is still phenomenal.

They sure have a lot of pedals that do chorusy/vibrato or octavers.
Must be tried & true circuits to seemingly specialize in those type of effects.
That 2880 delay/looper looks to be a handful.

What a dream job it must be working there as an engineer.

I can recommend the Memory Boy - on paper I reckon it's better than the Memory Man, at a third the price - but I can't comment on any differences in sound as I've not got a MM to compare. The MB can take a CV/exp input to control the sweep rate or delay rate - and has a mean square wave modulation for a touch of madness. Very nice, and lots of fun.

I had Behringer's VM-1 (copy of the MM) for a few months, but sold it when I got the MB. The Beh was surprisingly decent, but not inspiring like the MB.

Plus, the MB does not cause blindness (anyone who's seen those damn blue LEDs will know exactly what I mean)...

I recently bought a Memory Boy for a friend. I haven't heard it myself yet but he is very happy with it. It only cost AU$145 including shipping from the US. That's pretty good for a quality analogue delay (that apparently sounds sweet).

I agree EHX really have found a bit of a niche (those super specific pedals) but they also seem to be picking up a lot of the mid price market aswell.

I ordered the POG2 from GC.

I used a $50-off coupon & talked them down another $30 for a drop-shipped unit which should arrive Sat.

$80 off a new unit.. that's pretty awesome!

Great score! You'll have to let us know what you think of the POG2...
