Call Roland Canada at 604-270-6626. I'd guess they will be pricey.
Grace and peace,

Unless you're talking about one of the "Holy Grail" devices, you might actually be better off just getting another one of the same off of eBay -- and mabye if you're fortunate, you might run across a broken one that can be had more cheaply. Even if you got ahold of another working one, you could use the spare guts for replacement parts if you ever needed them.
I'm speaking from personal experience on this -- many moons ago, I was given an extremely beat-up DS-1... remember that auction for the CS-3 over in eBay discussions? That was about what it looked like. so I contacted Boss to order a new case. I got the main part of the case and the bottom plate, but they never came through on the backorder for the footpedal piece. And I probably could have gone to the music store and gotten one new for pretty much what it cost.
I still have it, by the way. Nice, brand spanking new case with a scratched up to Hell footpedal. Mabye someday I'll finish the project, but to be honest I like my recently acquired BD-2 much more for a distortion pedal...

you can get teh odd DS-1 for $20.00 on ebay.
i'm sure that would be cheaper than getting a case from Roland.
heck, you get the knobs and jacks too! |

ya thats what i thought. i figured it would probably be cheaper just to buy a full pedal than a case alone.
thanks |

| If you buy a DS-1 the holes for the pots (pot holes?) won't match up. It could be a cool project to refinish the existing case. The problem is reprinting the text. Don't know if that's at all possible without professional equipment. |

If you re-paint your old case, DO NOT SAND off the silk screening for the input output and the pedal name.
you can wetsand through your new paint, and get the silk screened logo to show up.
now THAT would be Tres Cool - instead of having "raised-ink" lettering you'd have flush lettering, but take MAKE SURE YOU TAKE THE WET-SAND WITH AT LEAST 400 GRIT PAPER MAYBE EVEN 600 GRIT to make sure you don't sand all the way through the silk screen.
You can do a very very cool custom multicolour paint swirl and then be able to Sand Through and bring UP the original logo.
that would be so cool . |
