Entrepreneurship at it's finest! I guess you can't knock the guy for trying to capitalize on this.
I'm just wondering if this is the same guy who mentioned this solution in an earlier thread on Bossarea or did he take the idea and run with it? Seems a bit of a coincidence that two different people arrived at the same idea of utilizing bike chain master links within a couple weeks of the other. |

I hope those threads match those used on the pedal bottom! If you can't buy ORIGINAL roland replacement screws - what's the chance that the supplied screws are the correct pitch/thread for your boss pedals?
I have also noticed that the screws MIGHT be different on the later MIT pedals vs the original MIJ pedals (MIJ have a noticeably larger head).

| Oh good guys, these will work on an AC-3. I'm glad the seller has tested this. |

| To me it just seems like more of a hassle than velcro and, as Starr36 stated, if the threads and screw size do not match, you could end up ruining your pedals more than velcro ever could. IMO- Just use velcro, put a thin piece of cardboard over the label so none of the velcro adhesive ruins the label, and then if you ever remove the velcro, just use one of the many "goo" or adhesive residue removers that are on the market. With these adaptors, if you get a new pedal in your chain, or take something out, you may have to re-drill your pedalboard over and over again to get things to line up right, and unless you are using a homemade pedal board, you would end up having to drill whatever pedalboard you are using and some pedalboards cost more than the pedal you are trying not to ruin. |

Now that is a brilliant suggestion (the cardboard). Never thought of that. Think of all those guys trying to make a perfect velcro cutout or avoid slopping rubber cement on that pretty foil label. Simply brilliant Idea, Jak84! |

Thanks man, thats what I do to my pedals, but you got me confused with another user, its just "jack" man
Also, I find by using the cardboard, depending on the thickness, you can shim up the area over the label so that all the velcro sits even with the velcro around the edges, so you can get maximum velcro coverage. Just using 2 1x2.5 inch strips of industrial-strength velcro on each pedal is enough stickiness.
I think I ought to patent my idea and sell it on eBay like Shredfreak... |

I wish it was me who thought of that. Can't believe a problem discussed so often no one saw such a simple solution. Kind of feel a little silly now. |
