Hey guys, have you heard of the new Behringer pedals. I bought some of them and they are awesome. In fact I compared them with my Boss stomps and they sound exactly the same. Hell, for 20 USD a piece!!! Like to hear your opinion. Keep on |

| Well, depends on the rest of your gear... with a low prices guitar, a small, solid state amp and low quality cables it certainly doesn't sound much different, however Behringer pedals are digital and for this price the A/D/A converters can't be good enough to get sounds close enough to the Boss, EHX, Ibanez etc that they're supposed to emulate... Plus, Behringer products have the reputation of breaking down MUCH too easily, so after all spending 20 bucks a year probably isn't the best option there is when you see how long a Boss can last (I recently bought one used which is 18 yrs old and it is in perfect working condition). Now of course if you only want some kinds of pedals for very occasional use (e.g. a compressor to play a Slash or Gary Moore song once in a while, or a wah you'll only use for rehearsal), it certainly isn't worth spending much more on these... |

| I haven't tried these yet so I won't comment on the sound but I've had one in my hand and built quality didn't impress me. It appeared rather fragile and I doubt we'll see many on Ebay in 20-30 years like we see the old Japanese pedals today. |

| Well I have been a studio guitarist for around ten years before I started to work in an electronic company. The Behringer pedals with exception of the Multi Fx, Digital Delay and Reverb are all analog, in fact replicas of the Boss Stomps I believe. I opened them up and they are well made: no additional wiring as all pots and switches are on the main board and they use double sided fibre glass PCBs which is even more reliable than the hand wired pots and single sided PCBs that Boss is using. But hey I am not ditching Boss, I am just amazed how the guys from Behringer can do it. Keep on jammin' |

| I have tested 2 Behringers, the sound was OK but the building quality was really low, theyre gonna break fast for sure if you use them on stage. |

Yes, it is. Thanks for pointing it out. I've moved it to the non-Boss discussions area. |

Does anyone know how the BO-100 compares to the BD-2 sound wise?
I feel like an overdrive but i don't want to pay $120 when i could pay 1/3 of that for something that sounds pretty close... |

Check out www.harmony-central.com. There are lots of user comments on the new Behringer stomps and they are pretty good.
