just saw one in a local music store complete with chorus, flanger, octaver and volume pedal for 70. It's a bit run down but I'm thinking about it. Maybe I can talk him down to 50
just like that only in a worse shape and with different pedals

I remember these.... i think all the yamaha effect pedals from that era are interchangable and can be 'dropped' into the board... even at 70 i reckon your doing well...so of those the yamaha pedals are well regarded...and your getting a whole board.... |

I ended up not buying it though.
the octaver was unstable and not just tracking wise... it sometimes didn't transpose the notes at all...
the chorus, flanger and volume pedal were good though but not SUPER AMAZING
the switches on those pedals are really cool though. they do feel really solid. I'm sure gonna buy some of those pedals when I find some in better shape |

Hi MullyFX
I have (4) of the "Yamaha Effector" pedals in that series. I have written about them previously, a few other times on this forum.
They are a few years pre-Boss, & built like tanks - Good Jap. Quality.
I never see the base - interconnection pedal-board for sale here. The Compressor is very good. Those in the know, will pay big $$$ for them.
It's my other than Boss collection that I strive & search for.

Hi MullyFX
Where did you get the first picture? Did you have any others you could PM to me?
As I said, I have been archiving all info & pics I can get of these. The one in your fist picture was in great condition, & would be a nice addition to archive of photo's.
Beside your other comments about the pedals. I can see why you passed on the one in the local shop, it's in poor condition.

The Korg "Hard Dist" distortion pedal from that range is simply brutal.
I want one of these -

That looks nice...
I picked up the DI-01 distortion for 25 in a local shop a few months ago, and it's a good one - don't seem to see many from that range over here, though I haven't been looking. |

Hi nathanscribe & Guys
You have to remember, that these pedals came out way earlier than any Boss pedals.
Mine were recovered from going into landfill (the Tip-Rubbish Dump).
Plus at that time, they were very very expensive. I went to a demo when they first came out, I was just a teenager, & only the richer day job...gig a night muso's bought these.
You also have to remember that Effectors, were not really something that most muso's were looking for in their rigs.
The pedal of the day then, was the Jen crybaby wah, if you could afford one.
And Laurie reckons he's an old Geeza.
