Hi all....i'm having a little problemo on ebay at the moment..i bought (what i thought) was a FBV 4 on ebay(turned out it was the earlier model fb4)..basically its a 4 way switcher for pod xt pros and some of the line 6 amps..the seller said it was compatible with my unit if the connector input said 'pedal' ...but line 6 support says it won't work unless it's the fbv model..i think a lot of the mix up is down to line 6 not labelling some of their newer units properly(i bought this in 2003...!!)....the seller is trying to get me to buy it anyway, but i feel a bit hard done by as i feel he didn't list it correctly....i know i should of done a bit more homework but there was only about 20mins on the sale and he did have in big print that it was compatiable with any unit that says 'pedal' on the connector input..so i think the blame is a 50/50 split here and i don't feel like handing over my hard earned for something thats not gonna work...i believe there is a dispute resolution process that can allow him to relist the item for no charge(he wants me to buy it and ship it back to him if it doesn't work...)..doh..!! which is not really making sense to me as line 6 are adamant the it won't work with my pod xt pro....anyone any experience of these situations as i know a few of you do a lot on ebay so i was hoping that maybe you might have some advice...thanks.....

Just don't buy it if you feel you are mislead. Only thing that can happen is some negative feedback.
I bid on a nos hm-2 once in the usa and won it, then the seller wanted $50 for shipping while I never paid more than $13 from the states, I told him that and said that I don't want the hm-2 anymore.
Somehow he gave me positive feedback for the good communication

hey franz, thats a hard one. i would definately say that its a 50/50 split. i personally wouldnt buy it because although you didnt know, he gave you incorrect information. like sp-1 said, the worst he can do is give you a neg but i even doubt he would do that due to retallitory negative feedback and the fact that hes the one that screwed up.

then again there have been one or two assholes on ebay.

Thanks lads for the replies..according to ebay as far i can understand the procedure for disputes the feedback left over this issue does't influence your overall situation...my feedback is 100%..i'm not a messer and i only bid in this item in good faith,i sent another e-mail explaining myself and my reasons i had for bidding on it...just have to wait and see...
