A barred F chord on the 1st fret just in front of the nut is hard to hold the index finger across.. which is what I thought YOU meant. |

What I meant, as a bit of humour, was if you can't play barre F you can't play. I'm sure you know that DeFrag, and I am sorry that I did not relate my little joke in a more understandable manner |

Very True, do not forget people, we here as a community of Boss-lovers [and experts] are in a minority. This site can educate people into the exhiting world of Bosscompact pedals, but it will take time, and effort and therefore is not for everyone.
Really there is no need for reissues, as we can still find some of those older pedals, and the reissues would not be the same.
If you dig deep you will find the there are a lot of 80s pedals which did near compies of Bosspedals, and some of those sound great- do your A/B tests and compare-. These pedals will be around for a long time as they get overlooked, and perhaps it may be more fun to search for those instead of getting a reissue. [Same goes for guitars, amps, keyboards and.........................]
Also some of the Bosspedals were not really a success, perhaps they started as a mere experiment to try something different, no need to reissue a near miss eh??.
The discussion of younger players getting into pedals, and them knowing what you really need to know as a musician is not a new discussion. Let me just say one thing: There is hope.
In a world where many bands sound so similar there is still need for something else, but not everyone does take the time and effort to be [and play] like that someone else. |

I agree.. I would hate to see a CE-2r come out.. or an SG-2, or "TW-1 mkII". But then again, it could be good for collectors.
If BOSS were to reissue pedals, unless it went to almost boutique levels, such reiusses would invariably fall short of expectations. So when the SP-2 comes out, and it's nifty but only sort of a toy.. the realization of the value of, and demand for the original will go up.
But if it goes the other way, and the market is saturated, our collections will just become more scrap aluminum. When the bombs fall, that's all they'll be anyway! Might just be the pot and coffee talking.
I think BOSS elevated their image in the last year with a number of serious player-centric pedals (fender collaborations, RC-2). I would always rather BOSS release higher-calibre pedals.. even though I'll never buy any since I only collect MIJ!
