I've just bought a Marshall JVM410H and cab with the intention of using my beloved GT6 to switch the amp channels (save having 2 big boxes on the small stages I play).
Can anyone advise me how I can do this simple action using my Boss. The instruction manual doesn't make any sense to a MIDI virgin like myself,
i use a GT8 to switch channels on my 6100 LM MARSHALL , i would check into the 4 cable method of hooking it up etc. it allows you to route guitar signals into the front end of your amp or into the loop. so your wah , overdrive etc go to the front end and your time based stuff stays in the loop . it works awsome !!
Currently looking into the 4 cable effects set-up as running everything through my effects loop really 'dulled' my lead tone. Guessing I might have some sort of noise suppressor / compressor or something switched on. Going to reset the GT6 and start again in the morning (it's gone midnight in the UK - my neighbours wouldn't appreciate it!).
Still baffled by the settings I need on the GT6 to switch channels on my jvm410h. I've got the amp in 'waiting' for a midi message mode - but I'm stuck on the settings I need to use on the GT6 to save amp sttings to a patch.
Anything anyone can advise me would be massively appreciated by myself and the rest of my band! I'm somewhat out of action at the moment.
