Hi Pedalhead
While it' a lot more than a headphone amp.
Late at night I use a Korg PX4D Pandora. It's about the size of a pack of smokes, I use it a my friends studio sometimes, for laying down a few quick tracks.
It has:
Heaps of programable digital effects,
including talk box
Amp modeling
Drum machine - pro quality samples, thay really have some bottome end thump.
Phrase trainer
30 second sampler, with slow down oprion
Real time re-pitching of an audio input, like a CD or MP3 player.
Bass amp modelling
about 200 patches
Runs for about 100 hours with good alkaline batteries.
Backlit display
Pickup simulator
Pickup type input selector switch.

It does cost a bit of bling, but it's one of the best practice & jam toys that I have seen so far.... Well till next the next model.
Heaps of bang for your buck.

This little box does so much, it's really difficult to go over all the options.

Go try one, it took me about 5 mins to decide to buy one.
Not to mention that the store, hasd a Queens birthday sale, I got it for half retail.

I loaned it to a good friend recently, & it took him ages & lots of begging from me, for him to return it, he was so very reluctant to let it go.

Regards Dr. Bob

So I found an '81 MXR Headphone Amp for $10. It has no pcb, check it out. Runs on a 9v. Simple and cheap! I looked at the px3/4 and then
I saw this on Craigslist. Now I can buy more pedals!
