Hey DeFrag... you have to save up for one of these. The GAS pains are kicking in again.
I'm currently on the hunt for something similar-but-different. Alesis used to make things called a D4 and D5 - these boxes have 12 drum trigger inputs, MIDI out (mapped to each trigger) and good internal drum sounds. And the cool thing is that you can use standard piezo buzzers (about $1 at the electronics store) as the drum triggers. So you can just tape a piezo to ANYTHING that you can hit/tap and trigger a MIDI event by whacking it.
D4s and D5s are hard to get on eBay though because people tend to hang on to them.
Not as graceful and sophisticated as the Zendrum...
