I've linked this about a week ago but didn't see much interest. I wanted to be sure you guys checked this out. Its pretty damned interesting & I just burned a few hours with my DD-5, RE-20, & Moog Analog Delay pedals in a time-warp. I've heard you guys mention multiple delays before but Edge sure has that melodic jangle.

Click on a few of the songs & this guy will break 'em down for you. There are a few MP3 examples as welll. Very informative stuff & hella fun to experiment with.

yep.. that guy has been around for a while .... i thought it was a pretty good site as well although there seems to be some dispute over some of the info in the comments section..i have stereo delay in the xt pro which someone slated over it's accuracy for 80's U2 stuff but it sounds very good to me especially when used in stereo or through headphones.....

I was just watching the Vertigo DVD today and each time I watch it I see more stuff I hadn't noticed before. I noticed today what looked like a huge effects rack. There is a brief shot of his blue floorboard unit with heaps of switches on it, which must switch his effects. It has a wah on it as well. Looks sort of like a Tonelab but its not.
He gets such a percussive sound to his delay, quite unique awesome sound especially as he is not a shredder type guitarist but has that lovely texture of sound going. Really quite amazing full sound for only Guitar, Bass and drums. Love it.

i think what the edge did in the early days was use two EH memory man delays set at different speeds running one left and one right into two vox ac 30's..as time moved on his rig grew into a monster set up...i've had good luck running one dd3 into the other....one with a long delay and the other a shorter time splitting into stereo with a CH-1(a lot of people don't realize he likes his delay with some modulation on it..)..i usually put the dd3 with the shorter delay first and run it into the dd3 with the longer repeat for the U2 stuff we cover...but at the moment i'm trying to incorprate my pod xt pro which has stereo delays into my set up for more fun and games.........

Hey Franzoni, Yea modulation is good I have been faking it a bit with the DD20 it has a mod setting but the RV5 has a real nice modulated reverb that seems to work well with the standard delay it's not bad if you don't have all that original equipment
