Please have a look at this link first:

I did not know it is possible to achieve TB through an option like this, or is it.....???

Does anyone of you here have any experience with this?
Is it really possible, or just a way to improve your signal a bit [like putting a booster after a weak effect]??

If it is really good than I do think it sounds like a usable option since you do not need any mods on your pedals, sure you may need a few of those boxes to be able to use all your weaker effects.

It's a pretty known solution. It's just wire, true bypass is juste about wires. It's really easy to do by yourself if you own a soldering iron and a driller. 4 jacks, a DPDT footswitch, and that's all. Take a 3PDT footswitch, a led, a resistor, and a battery snap, if you want a led.

Have a look at www.loooper.com" target="_blank">htt://www.loooper.com

Okay but what about having a box with does the True Bypassing without having to do any soldingjobs?. In other words the box solves the soldering issue??

My guess is that nothing beats the solderingjob to make your pedal truebypass, and that is really my question.

No, I just meant that this kind of box is too expensive, for what it's worth. But if you don't know how to solder, it's the solution for you all right.

Right, so the box does the same as what the soldering would do, great!!.

Thanks!!

Hi visserman,

I've made a few myself now. I've also converted my pedalboard to include 4 separate true bypass loops, plus a tuner mute switch and master bypass switch. Allows me to run heaps of my BOSS pedals without too much tone suck.

I've posted here before about it if you want to check out what I've said previously. I'm still trying to get my act together to post a pic - been having a bit of trouble submitting the pic. Anyway, I'll get that up on the board soon.

I based mine on the excellent design by Dirk from "Singlecoil"

http://www.singlecoil.com/tb-strip/tbstrip.html

Dirk was extremely helpful with my newbie questions.

Now that I fully understand what I'm doing, I'm more than happy to help you (if you're interested in building one yourself) or answer any questions you may have. Just send me an email if you like.

Cheers mate!

Thanks for the reply, I think the LS-2 will solve all whatever I do not like about certain pedals, okay I may need to get another two, but really, they are so good, and they beat lugging a big mixer with you.

Right, not true ByPass, but really the volumedrop of some of my older pedals is what I want to "cure".

Interesting to see how you can change your mind over time about cetain issues.
Cheers
