Hi guys A few days ago, I found the great pleasure of playing Iron Maiden songs with my HSS Yamaha through my Marshall. That really sounds good. I used my reissue Big Muff for the distortion, but found out it was not quite heavy enough. Thinking of a good Maiden pedal, the HM-2 showed up in my head after a few seconds. Is this a good Maiden pedal or should I like look for something heavier? My current Marshall is solid state, but thursday I'm heading to Music Store professionnal and when I come home, my Marshall will have a new buddy: the Blackheart Little Giant halfstack. So I can compare the HM-2 with tube and ss amp. My question: HM-2: good for Iron Maiden?

PS: Maybe my Blackheart cranked will sound pretty awesome too... |

| Try the ML-2 (Metal Core) while you're there. Some people prefer the MT-2 (Metal Zone) |

from what i remember, dave uses a jmp1, adrian uses a peavey processor, but i'm not sure what janick uses. i know there is a tubescreamer in there somewhere though. they use less drive than you might think. a marshall guvnor2 should get you close though |

| Pushed my new Blackheart to the limit this morning ( I'm lucky that my neighbours are on holiday) and the Iron Maiden songs sounded really cool. I'm with you, dudewheresmybass, they do use indeed less dist than I thought. Thanks for the advices. |
