I'm planning to but I can't get hold of the 3-position rotary switch that I need.

I don't know if you've looked at these, but with these rotary switches, you can set how many positions it uses:

You could use a DP3T on-on-on toggle switch, the Behringer clone has a 3 position slider switch. Still not sure why it has a Bypass option

What I've got is a BF-2 and I would like to convert it into a VB-2. I'd like to paint the box and make some sort of perfect fake
To do that I will need a rotary switch close to the original. The one from Mouser is 26mm diameter while the original is 16mm. Since this is going to be a one-off I reckon I should just call Roland and say I need one for a FZ-5 or some other current pedal with 3 position switches. As with most of my ambitious plans, I just haven't gotten round to it yet

The story of my life.... the two biggies at the moment on the table is to build a couple of boxes for 1x12 cabs and i was going to attempt to build one of those guitar cases that holds 3 guitars in one....we should start a topic about what we plan but never get around to doing... i still haven't fixed the musicman amp even though i figured out what wrong with it..although in my defense i went to buy the stuff online and the shop was on holidays last july/august..... have to sort it out.........sorry for the off topic......

Don't forget in the Vibrato mod that when the dry signal resistor is lifted, and you go to 'turn off' the pedal, the whole signal cuts out.
This link shows how get around this

except its to the collector of Q9 in Flangers

iirc they put the BYOC VB2 on hold due to an obsolete part

Update, saw on the byoc forum, the VB2 clone will be combined with the chorus/flanger pedal since the schems are similar. Neato...
