Hi everyone.
I've got a PW-2 for sale or trade. (SOLD!)
Excellent condition with only a few very minor nicks. No other issues whatsoever.
I'm looking for AU$100 plus postage (should not be more than AU$20 for international and about $5 for local)
Comes with original manual but no box. I'm having problems posting pics so email me if you want some.
I'd also be interested in trading for (with plus or minus cash adjustment if necessary): BD-2 or GE-7 (MIT please)
Boxes/manuals preferable.
Thanks all!
Cheers |

Hey I saw an ebay ad with this! I assume it's yours!!!
It's in pretty good condition and if it wasn't for the fact that I just got one recently we could have talked turkey!

Hi ronster. Yep, that's mine.
Not to worry... Just out of curiousity... what did you pay for yours? Condition/box/manual etc?
How do you like it? I don't "hate" it like a lot of others do. It definitely takes some tweaking though and probably depends a lot on the amp your running it through. |

Hey Stratman I paid AU$61 for mine and I thought it was a steal! However, I had a few problems with the seller as it was meant to be "new" and so I thought box and manual also but when it arrived it was just the pedal.
I actually love this pedal, I like a more bassy sound so this is a pedal that works for me! Not a fan of tinny sounding distortion/overdrive. I still can't work out if this is meant to be a distortion (becuase it's orange) or its overdrive (since to me it sounds more overdriven then distorted)!
Good luck! |

Thanks Ronster!
You certainly got a good buy from that one - even without the box.
This one cost me a little more than I'm trying to sell it for. I foolishly bid too high - completely my fault.
I've actually ended up "friends" with the seller - we keep in contact fairly regularly so that alone is worth the extra money. He's a top bloke and we share very similar interests. Love talking gear/music etc to each other (jeez, this is starting to sound bloody soppy ...even my wife says she's jealous )
I've actually got another (PW-2 that is, not wife!). Mint with box/manual (basically NOS). It's definitely a keeper for me - though mainly because of its condition and (hopefully) future value. I only paid US$46 plus $US10(!!!) to get it shipped - so a pretty good buy I feel. |

| I'm watching a few pedals (LM-2 and FZ-3) from a seller who also has a BD-2 listed as well. If I decide to go ahead I might grab the BD-2 as well, just to trade you. I'll let you know what happens. HS |

Hi RRV-10 (HS)
Nice to hear from you again! FYI, I've also got the pedal listed on eBay - so I wouldn't want you to buy the BD-2 with only that reason in mind!
I love my PH-1R by the way!!!!... check it out on the "Pictures of your BOSS pedals" thread (under the BOSS Compact Pedals page... page 5) |

Yep, know about the ebay listing, but if all goes to plan I might be able to snag the BD-2 for a little less than $90. It has the box and manual by the way.
Anyway - glad your still happy with the PH-1R. I'll be sure to check out the collection pic. If you have an HF-2 i'll be back to ask some questions haha. |

OK - that's a pretty neat board. And you do have a HF-2 Have you ever tried the DC-2 or DC-3? I'm thinking to putting a BCB-6 board together (I've put my last pedal on the bay - actually second to last as I still have an EHX Flanger Hoax but I'll never get rid of that box of tricks). Anyway, I'm considering the HF-2 or the DC-3 for modulation. Basically I like the DC-2 (i've had two) but can't be bothered shelling out $260 for another. The DC-3 is a cheaper "close enough" alternative, but the HF-2 is cheaper again, and I've heard it sounds somewhat similar to the airy dimension chorus vibe.
I'm thinking: LM-2 > 3 X Dirt (Best or most ground covered three from FZ-3, HM-3, SD-2 and PW-2) > modulation (HF-2, DC-3 or CE-2B) > DD-5 |

Hi Stratman Perhaps you should ask him to join us, here on the forum. And tell your wife, it's not soppy, it's called passion.
With music, there should always be some passion. See, even I do it..
Music has been my "drug of choice", it has been with me, through thick and thin, the good times & the bad times, it has never questioned me about my intent or motives, it keeps me company when I am here alone, & it helps me celebrate with my friends, In fact it has helped me, make many, really great NEW friends. (for example, the members on this forum)
It has been my nurse, when I was really ill. it has been with me when my children were born. it even helped me, when I sat & played with my children, & we all sang together. Now, music is in my children. -- I have two really great guitarist sons, who now fill the house -- with the wonderful sound of their own music.
Music is my-our life. Regards Dr. Bob |

Crikey Dr Bob!!! That's bew-di-ful! Sounds like some cool lyrics for a song.
Seriously though (although I was actually half serious ^^) that's a fantastic attitude there! You are very lucky to be able to "feel" like this about your music. I reckon that everyone should learn how to play an instrument of some kind. We (guitar players and other musicians) are blessed to have a passion for music. It is, indeed, a wonderful thing.

Thanks RRV-10.
No never tried the DC-2 or DC-3. Should have stayed up a bit later last night 'cause one just went for 40 Euros (looked pretty mint - no box or manual though) and I missed out in the last two minutes... Although, I have no idea what the winning bidder's highest bid might have been...
Anyways... I would recommend the HF-2 as a flanger in general, but as I've never played a DC-2 or DC-3, I couldn't compare them. I do like my HF-2 a lot more than my BF-2 (both are MIJ) but with my setup, the HF-2 sounds more "defined" to my ears - by that, I mean the HF-2 really does accentuate the higher frequencies and makes for a more "musical" flanging sound. Geez! Now what do I mean by "musical"??? ...well, you may get the idea.
I'd say get one (HF-2) as you could always easily re-sell it again. |
