For you young pups and maybe those of you not from the USA back in 1985 there was a little benefit given to try and help the American farmer. I believe it was headed up mostly by Willie Nelson and other country stars of the time and shown on MTV. But on one special night the same year I turned 18 and received my first guitar 3 things came together that frankly kicked ass! a great Zeppelin tune with the baddest ass player of the time and arguably one of the best rock voices of that era this was the prelude to "Van Hagar" Enjoy

I prefer Sammy and his band doing this at the same Farm Aid show.
Classic 80's Hagar.

The Bass player is Bill Church, whos pretty much been with Sammy since Montrose.
The other guitarist (Gary Pihl) has been Tom Scholz right-hand-man in Boston since the mid 80's.

Wasn't the whole Farm Aid thing a result of John Mellencamps "Rain on The Scarecrow" song, or was that song a result of Farm Aid?
