I was just looking at my DF-2 pedal and Manual that I bought new back in High School.
I used this pedal in punk band for 7 years.

The serial number dates it April 85 and the manual was printed Feb 85.
I know it is the original manual to this pedal.
My question is:

Is this common or should manual and pedal dates match?

Mine is The Super Feedbacker & Distortion version.

No the dates don't always match, the serial number indicates when the pedal was made and the date on the manual indicates when the manual was printed

I've never seen that note before. Have you got access to a scanner or can you take a picture of it from directly above? It migth make a valuable addition to the manuals sticky thread.

I've never seen that note before either and I got both my df-2's NOS, well one is missing a manual also .

Hey scrappy1 What I meant in your post where you were looking for manuals and boxes is well.....Your df-2 manual dates feb 85 and the pedal dates april 85 so that makes sence, but when you got a tw-1 pedal that dates '81 and the manual dates '87 for example, there's something wrong so somehow the manual has to "match" the pedal.

I saw one of these pass by at GC about a month or so ago. I should have at least tried it out.

Have you ever played with one "DeFrag"?
I don't remember ever reading that note when I got the pedal honestly.
What it is trying to do is show you how the "Feedbacker" functions.
I don't really like the way it is explained either.
If your effect is on, you hit a note or chord and apply pressure to the pedal, it will hold your note.
It's supposed to give a feedback effect.
It sounds more like a sustained octave.
Kinda organ like?
I don't really know how to explain it any other way.
The distortion is Bad@$$ on it though.
That's practically all I ever used it for.
Every once in a while when the guys () needed a breather I would screw around with the Feedbacker.
