hi, i'm self confessed echo/delay nut and i really love the sound of the old boss dm2 delays however before i go out and buy one i would prefer not to overspend. what's the average price in todays market i noticed that they range in price from 150 to 300+...
i saw one going to 250 in very good working and cosmetic condition is this a good deal or not?
That sounds about right, if the external condition is nice. Some guys here have been fortunate and at the right place and the right time and acquired one for less. The "player condition" (i.e. chipped-up case) units seem to be getting $150-200 these days on eBay -- but I don't follow the prices as closely as others might.
Sometimes you'll be browsing and a BIN at some ridiculously low price will appear as you're there, and if you beat everyone else to it -- including all of the dealer "flippers" out there who will immediately put it back up for sale at a higher price -- you can snag a bargain. We arrived at the word "GLOMP" for that action.
Or you might get lucky and avoid a bidding war, but invariably the bid counts on these go into double digits. Everybody wants analog.
