Blues, rock, well just about everything except the hard distorted metal (there are better pedals for this). BD-2 is alongside with OD-3 Boss best OD, in my opinion.
The BD-2 does a spot on sound for Johnny B Good (I play through a 335 though, so that might have somthing to do with it). It's also pretty good on Pink Floyd songs . . .
