Hello

I have an RV-5 which I love and I have developed an obsession for reverb. I'm also very loyal to boss for some strange reason.

I'm interested in buying either the RV-2 or the RV-3 - and I was wondering if anyone could help me with some questions.

I've heard that the RV-2 has reverb decay times of up to 10 seconds - which sounds great. Probably longer than the RV-5, is it? Are the reverbs longer than the RV-3?

I know the delay on the RV-3 is upto 2 seconds - but I can't seem to find any info about the delay on the RV-2. Anyone know?

Which one can get the most extreme reverbs?

Lastly, which one would you recommend? I'm after long and deep reverbs.

Thank you in advance for any help.

The RV-2 is just reverb; no delays available on this one.

nope you are talking about the RV-5 the RV-2 has a delay mode

the delay on the RV-2 is a bit limited though still it's a cool panning delay which could be wicked using stereo.

don't know about the exact delay time but if you use it in mono you can double the delay time by using one output and pluging in an unused patch cable.

there's no way to set the repeat amount though... it's set to a useful number of repeats though.

Thank you for your help! Still not sure which to get. RV-2 is much cheaper than the RV-3 over here in Japan but not be able control delay seems not good.

I don't have time to go to shop and try them both. It's far and I hate sitting in the shop trying effects. Guitar shop people can be very persistent here.

Thanks again

Hi tomutomu or other members

Any chance of posting a few pictures of those guitar pedal shops in Japan?

Or maybe they have some picture on some web site, that you know of.

My friend, showed me a picture of one he went to, but it was a long time ago.
It was a shop, & all it had in it, was thousands of pedals, on the walls & on shelves, & in glass cabinets.

Pedals everywhere - So many it really gave you some serious G.A.S.

Regards Dr. Bob

Hi

What is G.A.S?

This are some of favourite shop here in Japan. There is an area of Tokyo which is famous for vintage shops - there is maybe 30 shops all in same area. The shop with lots of space echos is really good.

but I also use this website. It's a website where various shops can advertise their goods. http://www.digimart.net/
If you follow links you can see shop pictures but it's all in Japanese. You can use the search near top of page to see what is selling. A lot of people here use yahoo auction which is like ebay.

I'm half Japanese and when I visit family in England Im always suprised by the small selection.

You can say that again!

At least we know where a small percentage of those 10 million pedals went....

Upon first glance I spotted a nice selection of NF-1, BF-2, CE-3 and DM-2 pedals in there, even HM-2's and LM-2's.

I just have to put it up here in full form.
