What pieces of gear (big or small) do you guys use to make things easier/nicer for you?
For example: I just got a new L-plug cable for my guitars. Ok... so it's not an exciting piece of kit by any means, but I needed it to allow the tremolo arm on my Jaguar to pass freely (straight plugs don't)... However, a pleasant discovery was the Neutrik silent jack on the cable allows me to change guitars (which I do quite often) without any unsoundly plugging in noises (It grounds when not plugged in).

It may not seem like much but this simple little piece of gear is bringing me (and my housemate) newfound silent joy. So I want to know what everyone else has that adds that little bit of extra joy to their playing experience... |

I got it from an eBay seller in the UK:
http://myworld.ebay.com.au/baldybass/
It's actually for my X2 wireless unit - it's only 80cm long and the other end is a mini jack for the transmitter. The seller makes the length to order. I wasn't actually looking for a Neutrik jack, that just happened to be what was offered for an X2 system...
It was expensive, but ultimately worth it. |

nice ebay sell got cables for nearly all the wireless systems!
It doesn't exactly make my life easier but lemon oil and fret polish is essential to me! |

| I've just got a shortened tremolo arm made by Callaham, nothing too special but I prefer it to the standard longer ones. |

My TU-2 I guess, which allows me to preset the tuning to 1/2 step down, which I always use. My old tuner didn't have that function so for the past 14 years or so I had to hold the 1st fret on each string in order to tune down to Eb.
I still sometimes do that due to being so used to it, accidentally dropping my guitar/bass down a whole step
I also love the silent tuning function. |

| I finally built a good A-B box... I have NO idea why I took so long to build such a useful piece of gear. |

We got one of those trolleys the delivery men use for boxes a while back for the band... it makes hauling the gear, especially the heavier pieces of the PA and the flightcase with all the drum and mic stands in and out of gigs a lot easier... |

How did you live without that until now? |
