| ...anyone have anything to say/suggest. I just purchased a GK-3 and am wondering about some good companion gear to accompany my plung into the 13 pin compatabe waters of syth guitar. |

Hi Right Foot Boss
Did you also get the Roland GR-20 Guitar Synth? or did you just get the GK-3?
I have been GASsing for a GR-20, as an upgrade to my GR-300, and for MIDI connectivity.

| Just the gk-3. I won't have enough money for a gr-20 until after I recover from holiday spending. |

Hi Right Foot Boss
I know it's all money in the end, but what about something like the older
GR-33 or the GR-50 or a GI-10 or GI-20, these are still pretty affordable on Evilbay. OR the GR-09?
Please keep me up to date with what you do finally get. Because if it's the GR-20, I would like to hear your opinion of it. None of my friends have ever ventured into Guitar Synth territory.

| Well, I just bought the WP-20G. I figured that it would be a good place to start. But I'm sure more will come once I get the GAS for it. |

Hi Right Foot Boss
Congratulations, at least you're in the 13 pin GK club. I am still running the older 24 pin cables.
You will have to keep me informed about your progress, as I told you I am GASing for a later GR-20 to complement my GR-300
It was a strange coincidence, I was searching around Evilbay for Guitar Synths & stuff, & you wrote your post at the same time??
I found this link, I don't know if you will get much from it, but the guy seems decent enough. http://www.soaringspider.com/BossWP-20G.php He has a WP-20G as well.
I would be interested to hear some sound samples if you find - make any.
Good luck & have fun..

Both my GK-3 and WP-20G arrived yesterday.
I just finished equiping my guitar. Took me about two hours from start to finish. I had to raise every string on my guitar to the pickups 1 mm specs.
Now all I can do is stair at them both until my GK cable comes. |

Hey folks,
Sorry I didn't chime in earlier, I have a GR-30, with a GK-2a and a WP-20G and an OC-20G. It was a killer deal for the GR-30 and GK-2a, at only $150 total. I don't use the GK stuff too often though, mostly only when I am recording and don't have one of the instruments that it can mimic. I like the Cello, and Piano settings a good deal on the GR-30. The WP-20G is alright, but really nothing fantastic, it sounds flat and lifeless for the most part, and hey the OC-20G, does what it is supposed to (i think) it's been a while since I've taken it out of it's box. |

I'll agree to that. After a week of playing around with it I found that I use the acoustic setting the most. Although I can see using the sitar setting as a backing rhythm. |
