Akai S01 sampler, 16-bit, memory upgrade to give 30+ seconds, takes regular 3.5" HD floppies, an absolute breeze to use and built like a tank.
�50 shipped in the UK.

these akai samplers were really great. but i guess sampling is all now happening on pc's and mac's.

Its true... I won't be surprised if this doesn't sell. I have 4 hardware samplers, including an S3000XL - �1799 in 1995 (without the extra memory), �90 in 2006 (with). I do think hardware units have their uses, especially where they have their own sound - my old Ensoniq Mirage is great, and the W30 has a certain punch. Memory and fidelity aren't holy grails.
Anyway, not meaning to bump this for the sake of it, but I'm open to offers/trades as well. |
