Wondering if anyone else has this experience? Can't seem to get a completely clean wah sund, always just a hint of breakup.

Hi Laurie

Are you running it off the AA batteries, or off an Adapter?
I know this will sound dumb.
Try some batteries & see if it's still distorting a bit.

Hmmm... was running it off an actual PSA adapter (not my usual home-made supply). You think it could be overvoltaged?

had this happen with an LM-2 the other day...

running it alone off of a OneSpot... sounded like a distortion pedal... used a battery and everything was fine again

I'm not sure Laurie, I was sort of thinking sideways for a bit.
I always test with a fresh or known to be GOOD battery.
Plus doesn't the thing actually run off 6 AA's?

I can't honestly say I heard any distortion from my V-Wah, before I packed it away.
But mine was as new less the manual.

let us know what you find.

I keep the Drive control turned to the OFF position and use my proper distortion/OD pedals ahead of my PW-10 in the pedal chain. The built in distortions and memories are good when using the PW-10 as a stand-alone pedal, but the real pedals sound better (to me) and are less complicated to use. I use the Cry-wah and the Uni-V setting the most. I power the wah with it's own PSA-120, to eliminate ground circuit feedback. I have never tried batteries. I also removed the heel switch as discussed before

Thanks pedals 4 pv!

I am using it with the drive off too. But still a hint of distortion. I'll fiddle with it some more - it might be impedances or something.
