The Ibanez bridges differ greatly.. a good Edge-7 will run you something like $350-450 (us/canadian, who knows anymore).

A guy at my work just got a fresh new OFR-7 - he too said they were hard to find.

you might also have some luck with a nice Wilkinson-style trem, a roller-nut (or something slick), and locking keys. All the Gotoh stuff is really well made..

Your projects look awesome timbo! I wish i had half your woodworking/construction talent...

I have a 1991 "HM" seties strat with a Floyd Rose and locking nut (an unrecognised classic IMHO)... anyway, even though it has a funky 80's look to it (eg. the word "strat" in hot pink on the headstock), it is actually not too bad as trems go.

i agree with you there! i think they are a great guitar, unfortunately all the ones i have seen for sale have been quite expensive. fender also made a contemporary tele with a schaller trem which i would like to own one day...

i will keep you gents updated with the build as it progresses.
