Hi from Brazil.

I came across the BossArea website while looking for information about the SP-1.

Apparently this pedal is rare so I thought I'd take some photos of mine and share with you. As you can see, the serial is 8300 which according to your database means that it's from June 1979, and it has the type 4 label. The rubber thing where the screw goes had melted into sticky black goo, so I've removed it. Apart from that it's in pretty good shape I think, and it works fine too, but sometimes it doesn't come on, you have to step on it a few times...probably just a dying solder joint or something. The range of the filter on this thing is extreme, I wish it had an expression pedal input so it could be used as a wah wah!

If you need any specific photos of the pedal for the site, let me know. Feel free to use these, or you can ask me for the original 1600x1200 res photos.

I suppose I could record it for you as well, the youtube video of someone playing guitar and using an SP-1 really doesn't do it justice and it shows in the comments section.

Cheers!

Internal view of the SP-1 (AKA pedal porn)

Hi Sune and welcome to the forum.
Great pictures! I'll set up a gallery page accessible from the main SP-1 page.

I've added photos of the inside to the original post instead, I thought it made more sense to keep them together. Don't get mad at me

Moderator, edited out the excessive white space (Returns) in this post.

Hi Sune

Very nice SP-1.
Welcome to the forum from Australia.

Bossarea has placed your internal pics of the pedal, into the"Pedal Internals" thread.
And I have add the SP-1 to the INDEX.

Regards Dr. Bob

Heh! Thanks for the kind welcome!

The site is a kickass resource choc full of electro-goodness.
I'm proud to contribute to it.

I'm a drummer, play bass and keys too, the latter mostly at home, where I enjoy using Propellerheads' Reason and Adobe Audition on my PC to stick together loops and grooves to practice to. Always loved twisting knobs and pushing buttons.
I'm originally from Denmark, been living in Brazil for almost 3 years now.

Cheers again and thanks.

Yeah, really simple discrete components in there, save the chip.
