I bought my son the BYOC SG-2 clone that came with the free booster kit w/o a case. I've already got the circuit mods to add an LED, power-jack, stomp switch, & external pot to replace the internal trim-pot in order to turn it into a nice boost pedal.
The thing is, I'd like to actually have a single pot "boost" above 12:00 & "cut" below 12:00 & am not quite sure how to go about it. I'd bet I'll lose some resolution but not range.
I may stick it in a larger Hammond case with extra room for jacks to incorporate either an A/B or A/B/Y capability so he'll have a nice multifunction pedal at his disposal. Here is my own design for the bABY Passive Switchbox. I worked it over quite a bit.. please let me know what you think about it.
I wish that BYOC had the VB-2 clone available as I'd love to put it & the SG-2 clone into a single enclosure. Is there another DIY vibrato out there which I am not aware? Or, can you recommend another effect that would fit nice along side the vibrato in a single enclosure?
I've yet to make one. I was hoping someone here on the forum would give the design a run through to make sure I'm not missing anything important first.
