While I was at work today I checked my e-mail and found out I won an old MIJ RV-2 on eBay...this is just a couple of days after finding a silver-screw DS-1 in great shape at the Chicago Guitar Show on Sunday! Anyway, are there users of the RV-2? I've been a huge fan of the RV-3 for years, but I've been looking for a dedicated reverb pedal for recording and also for my Champ when I'm practicing at home (my RV-3 is packed up most of the time with all my other live gear).
I'm also curious about the power supply. I've read here that the old MIJ models came with a power supply--is the PSA series okay to use? What power supply was included with the RV-2's?
It should be here in a few days so I'm looking forward to trying it out!
Any 9vDC centre neg adapter will work - including a Boss PSA. I really liked the plate and the panning delay settings on the RV-2. I've heard it's a little warmer than the later Boss reverbs.
its the only reverb pedal ill use. any regular power supply will work although it was a very high current draw (120mA if i remember correctly??) i personally like Plate(#4) the best with the 3 first knobs set at about noon
